Milena Rangelov
VP, Research
Milena holds a Ph.D. from Washington State University. She worked as a Research Engineer on the Sustainable Pavements Program in the US DOT where she helped advance the sustainability goals of the Biden-Harris Administration. She leads the LCA team in developing scientifically defensible sustainability metrics for products, aiming to provide actionable insights toward reduced emissions.

Liston holds a master’s degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management (UCSB) where he specialized in Corporate Environmental Management and Eco-Entrepreneurship. He leads partnerships and business development, and is on a mission to accelerate corporate decarbonization with simple yet sophisticated tools for sustainability and executive teams.

Sustainability Analyst
Ilayda holds a master’s degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management (UCSB) where she specialized in Corporate Environmental Management. She received life cycle analysis (LCA) and carbon footprint training under Dr. Suh, and she provides project support at VitalMetrics through data collection and analysis, and report writing.

She brings experience with internal sustainability initiatives for mission driven brands and is motivated to aid companies to understand their greenhouse gas hotspots and create a plan for efficient emissions reductions.

Dinesh is a senior consultant and has more than 15 years of IT experience in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET and Azure technology stacks. He has extensive experience in using popular client-side libraries such as Angular, Kendo UI and Knockout.js and server-side technologies such as ASP.NET Core, web APIs, C#, and SQL Server. He is passionate about learning about, working on, and contributing toward developing solutions that solve complex problems.

Braiam has the knowledge, energy, and insight needed to perform various tasks and deliver assigned projects on time using best practices.

Kristina has a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Washington and an MS in GIS and Analysis from the University of Wisconsin. She has experience in carbon research as it applies to Natural Climate Solutions and is broadly interested in how climate change is affecting different environmental processes. She is excited to support the team at VitalMetrics and help others understand GHG emissions and how to guide their decisions to mitigate their impact on the environment.

Fatma ElRefaei
Communications Intern
Fatma is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Environmental Studies and Political Sciences and a minor in Economics from Franklin and Marshall College. She has experience in environmental communications, sustainability initiatives, environmental policy and business sustainability. Only at 15, Fatma’s team was awarded Ricoh’s 15th sustainability award for leading efforts of sustainability through inventing a device that turns the body’s kinetic energy into a source of stored energy available for personal use. Since then, Fatma’s initiatives have evolved into the intersection of environmental change, corporate responsibility and social justice issues. She is excited to bring her knowledge to the team and support VitalMetrics with communications and brand management to help clients achieve their sustainability goals.
